Is there an order to Gumshoos' "Evidence Gathering" Ability? For example, can a player look at the top card before picking a card from their hand to put on the top of your deck? Or do they have to pick the card from their hand first?

The text of Evidence Gathering says to switch the card. This happens at the same time, so no you do not get to look at the top card of your deck first.
